Raffia Sunburst Mirror DIY
Today, I'm going to share how I made this raffia sunburst mirror for less than 10 dollars. I love using earthy materials to create nature-inspired projects just like this one. I love how the raffia brings a bohemian touch to any living space. Raffia is inexpensive, easily accessible, and could be used for several different craft projects. Creating this decorative mirror was easy, so if you want to learn how I made it, follow the steps down below.
MATERIALS:
- Raffia
- Round mirror
- Wreath ring
- Hot glue gun
- Gorilla glue sticks
- Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Start by wrapping the raffia around the mirror and set it aside.
2.) Then, cut the raffia to the desired length. I cut each strand about 25cm long.
2.) Attach each strand to the ring using the larks head knot method.
3.) Secure the knot tightly onto the ring.
5.) Glue the mirror to the ring and press down.
6.) Take a piece of raffia, create a loop, and attach it to the mirror with plenty of glue to keep it in place.
7.) Once it dries, you can hang the mirror.
