Water Color Botanical Bookmarks
.
If you are a bookaholic, then you'll love these watercolor bookmarks. Making them was so much fun, so get creative and write a meaningful quote, draw your favorite flower, plant, etc... the possibilities are endless. Did I mention they make great gifts, so if you know someone who loves to read, I'm certain they'll appreciate these vibrant bookmarks.
MATERIALS:
- Water Color Paint
- Watercolor Paper
- Paintbrushes
- Ribbon, Tassel, or String
- Scissors
- Marker or Pen
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Cut the watercolor paper to the size you prefer. (I cut mine 2" x 7") Create a border using washi tape.
2.) Pick your desired watercolor, smudge the paint, and drag it freely on the paper. (You can pick 2-3 different colors for a gradient effect.)
3.) Once the paint dries, draw a simple flower or whatever you'd like with a black marker or pen with a fine point.
4.) To finish, tie a pretty ribbon, tassels, or a string.
